Description

Date: Saturday, May 9, 2026 Time: Meet 8:45 am / Roll Out 9:15 am Meeting Point: Nixon's Coffee Shop in Englewood Distance: 14 miles Pace: Conversational Pace On Saturday, May 9th, the Mayor's Bicycle Advisory Committee is hosting a community bike ride through Denver's District 2. And YOU are invited. We will meet at Englewood RTD Station at 8:45am. Easy to reach! ... whether you're riding your bike; hopping on a bus or train; or driving with your bike in tow. We will roll out at 9:15 am. The route winds through southwest Denver through Sheridan, Fort Logan, Bear Valley, Harvey Park, and College View - exploring the different ways people actually get around District 2 by bike. And we will make a pit stop at the new Harvey Park Farmer's Market for some snacks and shopping opportunities. Some stretches are smooth... and some are scrappy. That's kind of the point! This ride is a chance for neighbors to share their stories directly with MBAC members: what's working, what's missing, and what would make biking in your neighborhood better. MBAC wants to boost your voice and potentially influence future bicycle policies. But honestly? The main goal is to have fun and celebrate this corner of Denver. This is a free, volunteer-run community ride - NOT a city-run event. Bring your own bike, helmet, and a lock if you plan to step away from your bike. E-bikes welcome. And if your District 2 council member hasn't RSVP'd yet — invite them. This ride is for them too.
