Description
Cruisers is teaming up with Enroute Boulder and Pas Normal Studios for an Epic Gravel ride through one of Colorado’s most iconic landscapes.
We’ll climb Old Fall River Road on gravel to the Alpine Visitor Center, topping out around 12,000 ft. After a brief organized stop at the top, we’ll descend back down on the pavement of Trail Ridge Road.
This is an Epic Gravel and a big day on the bike. Expect plenty of climbing, sustained time at high elevation, and rapidly changing mountain weather. Conditions near the top can be significantly colder than where we start, with wind, rain, and even early-season winter weather possible in October.
Come prepared with plenty of food and water, appropriate layers, rain and cold-weather protection, and everything you need to be comfortable and self-sufficient in the mountains. We’ll keep a close eye on the forecast and share weather and gear recommendations as we get closer to ride day.
We’ll be entering Rocky Mountain National Park by bike, so please also come prepared for park entry. Annual and lifetime National Parks passes cover the passholder plus up to three additional cyclists. If you are not covered by a pass, the one-day bicycle entry fee is $15 per person. RMNP entrance stations are cashless, so please bring a debit/credit card or another accepted digital payment method. No timed-entry reservation is required when entering the park by bicycle.
