Description
Next Monday, Sept 8th at 8am, I (the cyclist lawer) will be joining Marianne Martin (the first American to win a Tour de France Féminin), Greg Holm and Bob Shaver as we kick off the Ride of Awareness and Forever Riders Memorial Fund Project. We will be embarking on a four-day 278-mile ride from Denver to Grand Junction to bring awareness of the dramatic increase of injury and death to cyclists and other vulnerable road users, and the need for stronger laws for those that do bodily harm or death.
During this ride, we plan to meet with local law enforcements and concerned citizens and advocacy groups along the way to speak about cycling safety and cycling structure in each of the towns we stop in. Our plan is to arrive on Thursday and then attend the Grand Junction screening of the 40th Anniversary of “American Flyers” on Friday night. Saturday, we are back to it with the Tour of the Moon!
We welcome those that would like to join us Monday am for a ride from Washington Park in Denver to Lookout Mountain and from there our group will continue on to Georgetown. Swipe for our complete schedule and follow me along for the ride!
