Red Rocks Redemption

Meet at 1416 Platte St, Denver, CO 80202 at 10:00 AM Wheels Down 10:15 AM Learn about the history of Red Rocks, from its indigenous history as a gathering space for the Ute tribe, to its development as a Park and Amphitheatre, to the recent attempts to get public transportation out to the park for recreation and concerts. We will also discuss the geology of the region, and some of the history of the Civilian Conservation Corps that built the Amphitheatre! This ride will be roughly 41 miles long, with an 11-13 MPH pace and will return to Denver around 5:00-5:30 ish. We will also have a lunch stop in Morrison. This is a repeat of a ride from March, which was not able to be completed due to technical issues.
